"near east edge" of 1.22.6, N.E. of road as. In place the trap becomes darker "of a slightly purplish" huge."Such a specimen is 1.23.4 (.) (massive, fine grained) 1.23.4 from east central 1.23.4 100 yards. N.E. of the house of Mr.--a prospect hole was dug in the trap which is here much fractured & ferriferous: To the S.E. the trap becomes very much broader, or 350 ft. road & extends 5E beyond the T corners Reddish brown truffs seen on the 1.23. E line & on the little hill at E central 1.23.8. At latter locality show unevenly strata truffs near west end of level stake N.10 deg E dip 30 deg N.E., slanting nearly same direction N.25 deg dip S.E.
