Overlying the sandy-textured beds with Wilsonia, Stenoceras, cutintrap some 35 feet of blue- grey shales containing 5.34.9 C Chonetes nova-scoticus occae. Leptæna rhomboidalis rare (Leptæna) Dalmanella (large) . occae Stenoscisma (large). common Spirifer crispus occasional Paracyclas sp rare, Beyrichia kloeden, common " æquilatera occasional Kloedenia Cytherellina siliqua " The strike of these sediments is N. 50° W. dip 32° N.E. The shales of 5.34.9 C are overlain by a trap intrusion which forms the hill N.E. corner of Coffin Point, [illegible].
