1980 Walter D. Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus Plague (7 April) works. Both 1st yr School Hill ♀♀ were here (♀523 and ♀524) along with an unbanded ♀ (at least briefly) and the mysterious ♀ M/Red . Doing the chasing were both the babies here - ♂521 and ♀522; A8473 was apparently much less concerned about the whole business. ♀482 definitely was gone. Revolution activity was in full swing; Ron even saw mounting Activity only continued for a relatively short time after I arrived, and by 830 the intruders had left, at least temporarily. This left the 3 residents here intact for the time being. Purge: ♀482. Last seen here on 23 March; gone just prior to 6 April → Disappeared about 5 April 1980 100. After a lull of a couple hours there is an intruder back here, apparently being chased by all 3 residents (least so by 8473). Whoever she is is garriking over in the Sycamore when given the opportunity. Chasing is fairly continuous. 1718. The birds are at it again, with at least 1 ub ♀ intruder getting chased by 8473 (kanit-cutting vociferously) and ♀522. 8 April 900. There is still lots of activity here - the 1st bird I see is ♀ M/Red-DB #523 from School Hill in the Sycamore. 910.
