(28 May) is almost certainly 3426.
31 May 1947. Watched roosting here again tonight. Although I had a better flashlight, I was less sure than last time. But what little I did see appeared to be 3426 again. I still need a positive id here however.
4 June 1953. At roosting tonight, the hole started out occupied by a $, who never left as far as I could tell. Finally another bird came whose bands were extremely hard to pick out despite reasonable (flash)light. Once again, I assume this to be 3426 (I did see some light on a band apparently near the body; unfortunately, at this point I'm going pretty much on negative evidence.
8 June 1848. Banded and bled the 3 babies as #689-691
1950. At roosting tonight, I finally got it for sure - 3321 roosted (by himself) in the nest!
10 June 780. Watching the nest.
915. Still nothing at the nest, but an interesting observation at the hole in the tree covered with Poison Oak. 03426 sitting at the edge for 2 min; 2 3321 inside. 3321 looks out once, goes back down. 3426 leaves; 3 8102 now looks out and climbs out, remaining at the edge. He flies off, returns, flies off again. Then 3321 climbs out, sits at the edge while 4 9427 looks out, climbs out, then leaves! I would say that the possibility of a 2nd nest here looks very good indeed!
