Counted stores: Main tree: 1076 Sycamore: 856 Other: 202 2134 While contemplating climbing up the tree on this wet day to get some acorns I ran across a small limb which had fallen, apparently very recently. So rather than climbing up I merely extracted acorns from the limb, coming up with a total of 60. 29 March Purge: 9500. Last seen 10 November 1980 (Ron); gone by 7 Jan (Ron): Disappeared about 9 Dec ± 1 month. 22 April 915. Counted stores: Main tree: 297 Sycamore: 410 707. No unusual activity here or sign of anyone in a hole. 14 June 945. Counted stores: Main tree: 116 Sycamore 286 402. Also, a 3 in the nest hole prompts me to be sure to get back there and check the hole again soon. 1615. Checked the hole: zilch. Just as well.. 17 August 920. No stores left here, as far as I can tell.
