Watching with my captive 2nd yr ♀ Acorn Woodpecker in a cage up in Tree 1. 1520. ♂ LB/LB #493 and ♀ Yel- #435 in trees on Lower Sap Side now. Still noone in tree 1 1524. #435 flew over to the old (800) nest tree to join another bird. 1525. Captive gave 2 garnicks. 1527. #435 in Tree 3; 1 bird in Tree 1 (not near captive). 1529. #493, [illegible] in Tree 1. [illegible] kamit-cutting. Flew to sap side. Still no one near the captive. 1543. Birds flew across the road, somewhere, for something. 1615. Noone. Leaving. This time I got virtually no response, or at least nothing that I could really quantify. 12 February 1430. Counted stores: Tree 1: 1210? 1477. Tree 2: 267 1440. ♀297 plus 2 other birds in the old nest tree at 1800; 2 flushed up the hill. This area still belongs to 1500! There are no stores over here, however. 1520.
