Watching from hide. 1105. Over on the side by Lambert's: ①♀ Maume/LP-Red #207. ②♀ DB-WH(W)/DB#290; apparently sapsucking over there. 1200. Over sapsucking now: ③♂ Light/#204. None in the granary yet! 1230. Giving up. No big action around here, but there are a few birds. Counted stores: N fork: 390 M fork: 222 S fork: 634 } 1246. 18 February 9 March Several birds were here sapsucking this afternoon. 930. Watching. 942. An apparent intruder was chased out by 1 bird right away. 945. The bird who chased the intruder was ①♀ Maume/LP-#207; She's now in the sap tree sapsucking. 1000. ②♀ DB-WH(W)/DB#290 now sapsucking with a 2nd ♀. 1030. #207 still around. Looks bad for #289; #120 clearly could still be here, however, given how difficult he usually is to find. There are still quite a few stores here, though they do look rather depleted from last time. 1137. #290 flushed from LA2 area. 13 March Purge: #289. Last seen 8 Dec. 78, gone by 6 Feb. 1979, → Disappeared about 7 Jan. 1979 ± 1 month. 23 March 1230. 3 birds in the sap tree in passing. One flushed out all the way down to LA2.
