In the granary. Where was she during the nesting period? 1300. leaving. No sign of any babies anywhere, but the birds are clearly spending most of their time elsewhere. 18 December 1100. Watching. ♂j wn-LB #526 (still δ-type) pounding away at an acorn in the nest tree. ♂♂wn-B/B-wN #184 eating an acorn over across the creek. 1115. There seems to be no big rush to get censused by anyone else. At least one of the fell babies is still around, however. Going to count stores. Counted stores: Sycamore: 605 927. Still room, esp. in the Valley Oak: 322 I also nabbed a sample of 55 acorns, replacing them with my own.
