1010. I flushed a bird over at Near Lambert today
but I did not see anyone in any of the holes.

1630. Checked the groups in Corral Viejo Canyon. I did
flush a couple birds at the C.V.#2 group (where I banded
babies last year) but otherwise I uncovered no possible
ests and noted nothing unusual or of interest.

1600. Checked Bar-b-q and Near Lambert, but noted
no activity or signs of any nests.

This afternoon Ron and I walked up Poison Oak Hill
with remarkably little to show for our efforts. No sign
of any nests anywhere (as we went up by PO Hill #1, 2, 3, 4,
down to the field, and back to the road) and worse yet we only
saw 3-4 birds the entire trip. Things are clearly bad up
there this year, as they are everywhere else.

Walked over to Corral Viejo Canyon this afternoon, checking
the 2 groups in the canyon itself and the 3rd one off toward
HNHR slightly. I did see several birds and found an apparent
est at CV Canyon #1 which still must have eggs. I also saw
an unbanded ♂ and ♀ at this group. Otherwise there were no
clear signs of nests at either of the other groups, though
a bird at the third group acted slightly suspiciously.
