There are several birds here but they aren't coming down to the granary where I can get a decent look at them. 10 January 1400. Trying again. 1415. Nothing. Leaving. Still not the right day. 1420. Just as I was leaving (1)♂WM/M #278 and several others showed up. 1425. Back to zero. Leaving. 19 January 1240. Once again - Several birds around: (1)♂M/Red-Tan#282; 1300. (2)♂an-BiLe/an-BiLe #63. (3)♂WM/M #278. (4)♂ub. 1320. (5)♂DP/LP #66. 1325. This is the 2nd time I've been here to have a Steller's Jay at the bridge give several high-quality imitations of AW alarm calls (he was preening at the time and in no state of obvious alarm himself). 1330. (6)♂LP-LB/M #67. 1340. Leaving. Much better. All here but ♂386. Also still no ♀. Counted stores: 196, all in the Valley Oak. None are accessible enough to be sampled, however. 9 February 1620. There seem to be only a few stores left here. 4 March 1100. As I suspected, these birds are now out of stores entirely. I did hear one bird while I was here do a brief [illegible]. 2 April 830. I flushed one bird from a tree by the road (across from the sycamore) who flew to a tree by the Valley Oak perch up on the hill towards ARF. It appeared in a brief look to be a ♀,
