School House
HNHR
31 May Watching two birds flycatching up by the
tennis court this evening, I first noted a
♀NOBA, and then wandered around to find
screaming babies just behind my garage!
We'll call this new group School House
(SHOW), and we'll have to get up there
tomorrow.
1 June 1100. Turned out to be way at the end of
a dead branch, so I chopped it off and
taped it back up. In the middle, we banded
the 3 kits, who are ~24-25 days old!
♀ 900. Watched who I presume is the ♂ on
the tel pole up between the garage + Red House.
He's: ♂ My/Red-or #3285 (from cavity).
2002
23 April 1730. 2 birds in the elm tree and generally hanging
out here: ♂ R-W(N)/M #3245 from Plague and
♀ D/W(a-W(N)) #3175 (?) from 1800 (better check this).
Looks like there may be a group here again after
all!
No! The ♀ is one of the kits from last year:
[♀]3473. The group lives!
4 July A fledgling back here behind the garage-I
bet there was a nest here somewhere. I'll
have to find where they're roosting.
