Still The 1 egg; it's not "obviously" dead yet but I think it's clearly abandoned: There never seems to be anyone in the hole. 28 Sept. Lots of stones still here - presumably from last year still. 9 Dec. Charles & Erin collected acorns from the gravaray. All seem old (i.e. from 2002) but they aren't as bad as I would have predicted. See back for summary! 2004 3 May 1000. Bird flushed from old hole in 20 tree: 5 eggs, incubated. ① 25.6 x 19.6 ② 24.7 x 19.5 ③ 23.4 x 19.0 ④ 25.6 x 20.0 ⑤ 24.3 x 19.2. 10 May 1400. Checked hole. #2702 on nest; put her back after finding 3 babies (~3 do) + 1 unhatched egg. Band ~ 28 May. 15 May Checked nest (open house). Still 3 babies + 1 unhatched egg. 24 May 1130. Set up to catch bird(s) for stable (so tape) 1145. Got #2056. Re-banded him. 1245. Got #2702. Then banded The 3 kids. 23 August Still stand acorns here (from fell 2008!)
