2002 2003 Walter D Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus 2 Plague HNHR (17 June) The 2nd bird roosting ) was ? NY/DA who is #3635, one of the 2001 Cabin kids. The bird definitely entered The hole quite late in The game, but 1 bird subsequently left and it could have been her. This was before 83245 came. 23 Oct. Birds roosting in the old nest area are apparently for a new group with 2 NOBA #4 and 3 helper 80 from Plague. It shall be known as "Upper Barn". 2003 26 May 1530. Coming back from Chongo I noticed a bird in a tree over above the Upper Barn and finally went to investigate, finding a nice new hole with babies looking out! Woodpecker emergency! (Cdain) I got Joey and we went back and, after blocking the hole, opened it (tag#5807) and captured the 3 kids. They were quite old, and one refused to stay, flying out (pretty well!) as we left, even after blocking the hole for a few extra minutes. So it's even possible that we missed one, but hopefully not. Close! Plenty of stores left here. 27 May No! Looks like this nest is (was) Cabin's! 29 May 900. Bird in new low hole in 20 tree (facing garage): I incubated eggs! (25.3 x 19.8), Tagged 5809, Boy Is this weird - another 1-egg clutch?!??
