2003 (Walter) Koenig 2004 Melanerpes formicivorus LAZ HNHR 6 March 1230. Opened the lowest of the old holes (the only one remaining in the old limb); empty. Meanwhile, they are apparently in a new hole over in the big Valley oak with The nest box. A project for the next nice day! 19 April 1230. Opened the new hole in the West box tree (now tagged #5552). 5 eggs, incubated. ① 25.1 x 19.8 ② 24.7 x 19.9 ③ 24.7 x 20.0 ④ 26.2 x 19.5 ⑤ 24.3 x 19.3. (egg #5 not developing). Note: There's no breeder ♂ on the list here!? 30 April 1615. 4 babies, ~8 do; no eggs.
