7 April 1615. Bird in (last year's) nest hole (3rd tree up from turnaround on HNHR side). Checked it: in good shape but empty.
29 April 1100. Bird in hole again: 5 fresh eggs. (EHD 10 May)
Measured them: ① 25.3 × 19.9 ② 25.3 × 19.3 ③ 25.2 × 19.5
④ 25.7 × 20.3 ⑤ 25.0 × 20.2.
13 May 930. 2 babies, ~3 do, +2 unhatched (but developed) eggs. Presumably 3 eggs hatched. Band ~31 May.
27 May 1100. Caught & bled 92602 for stable isotopes, then banded the 2 kids.
There are acorns still here, down in the 1st tree on our side.
10 August 900. No stores here (or over at FAAR).
21 Sept Nest in (usual) hole: 1 kid, ~15 do. (Wing chord 44 mm).
28 Sept 1100. Nabbed a ♀ helper (93962) feeding at the nest, after which we bled her and banded the kid. (for SI analysis).
