There appear to be just a few acorns left here. 27 June Still a few stores left. 20 July Still a (very) few stores left. 1 September Out of stores. No one in any holes. Teresa, by the way, reports a ♀ NOBA here, which would imply no incest here last spring after all. 2001 18 April 1500. Bird in high hole: 3 eggs, fairly fresh. 1 May 1200. 4 babies ~2 do + 1 unhatched egg (22.6 x 18.5). Set up the ambush. 15 May 915. Set to try and get the ♀ NOBA. Coming to the nest: ① ♀ Yel/M #2034 ② ♂ Bk/Lp #3088 ③ ♀ Wh-La/Lg #3239. ④ ♂ MBB-Ye(W) #3031. ⑤ ♀ NV/LeaWh #3030. ⑥ ♂ Bk/LB #2809, 1130. A fair number of feeds & births, but no indication of a NOBA. What's up here? 1155. I'm moderately sure there's no NOBA here. Leaving. 23 May 1000. Banded the 4 kids here. 7 June 800. Bird in (other) nest hole. 9 June 700. Opened hole (tag 269): 5 eggs, ~2d inc. ① 24.0 x 19.0 ② 24.8 x 18.2 ③ 24.0 x 18.5 ④ 24.6 x 18.9 ⑤ 24.8 x 19.0. EID ~ 18 June. 19 June 1315. 4 babies ② 2-3 do + 1 developed but unhatched egg. Band ~ 7 July.
