2001 2002 Walter D Koening Melanopus formicivorus Macflat HNNR 3 May Previously I've been calling this group Road 3, but since there's a new group over there, we need to call this one (closer to Finch) Macflat again. In any case, at 0830 we checked the new (lower) hole in the tall tree and found 5 fresh eggs. ① 23.7 × 19.8 ② 24.5 × 20.0 ③ 24.7 × 20.2 ④ 23.8 × 19.2 ⑤ 24.0 × 19.6 Hole is tagged #1311. 16 May 1445. 3 banded, ~4-5 so. Band 1 time, Set an ambush. 25 May 915. Ready for a NOBA. 922. Q wh/wh #3210. 4 trips! 935. A banded 8! > DA/M or 2797!! 945. So far only these 2? 1015. Still only the 2. I think they're it! 1230. Went ahead and banded the 3 kids (3438-3440). 2002 22 May No sign of a nest or of remaining stores here.
