The old hole (#277) has a starling in it, by the way. 1 May 1600. Climbed up (way up) and opened the new hole: 7 eggs, incubated. ① 27.7 × 19.5 ② 25.7 × 19.7 ③ 25.5 × 20.0 ④ 28.5 × 19.5 ⑤ 26.0 × 18.8 ⑥ 24.5 × 19.8 ⑦ 30.5 × 18.9. Wow! 2 99 here, it would seem; 1 That lays giant eggs, and the other not! 9 May 1700. Chicked the hole: 6 kids, ~3 day old, + 1 messed up egg. Band ~ 27 May. 27 May 1200. Banded the 5 kids. Acoms? Definitely. 6 June Danika found 93763, The 2nd of the breeder 99 here, dead on the road today. That's both of them in the past 2 weeks. Time to fix those posts out there (i.e., get rid of the wooden ones). 7 June 1400. Joey and I were as good as my word, and we took out 26 wooden posts between the gate and a bit beyond Stromberg's gate. (see trap on back). Hopefully this will reduce the mortality rate along here, which has been awful the last couple of years. 2004 3 June Birds hanging out = one of the high holes (not in the main trunk). We'll see; could be a challenge. 24 Aug No stores left.
