(5 May) winning, at least at the moment.

1100. Finally got the nerve to open the new hole
in The other sycamore (hole #1325): 6 inc.
eggs. Measured one: 25.0 x 19.0. EHD: who
knows, but probably soon (say 6/3).
6 June
1200. Checked The nest: 5 babies, ~3-4 to. Band
~ 23 June.
19 June
2015. The rooster tonight was [illegible] #2913
21 June
1600. Banded the 5 kids, one of whom
(the runt) I took home.

11 April
1430. Bird in upper hole: empty (has gone down
to connect with hole below it). Meanwhile, the
low hole (#1148) was full of water and the back
had fallen out. I fixed it as best I could.
This is all in The nice sycamore.
24 April
1430. Checked all the holes (mostly by peeping,
so it's not absolute), since birds have been in them,
but they all seem to be empty. The middle hole
(the only one not opened) is perhaps the most
likely candidate, I think, for the next.
30 April
1515. Bird in (unopened) middle hole. Time to
got back up and check it.
1 May
1500. Bird in both the 2 lower holes. The lowest
(tagged 1148) is filled with water (again). The middle
hole, which I opened, is empty but in good shape.
7 May
1030. Middle hole (tagged #5338): 4 eggs.
