2000 2001 2002 Waltm D Koenig Melanerpes formicivorus MPHF MNHR 6 Sept. 1100. Banded and bled the 5 kids here. All quite small, but could all make it, Lots of stores still. 2001 23 April 1600. Bird in traditional hole: 2 fresh eggs. Apparently still laying. Marked and measured them: ① 26.2 x 20.1 ② 24.9 x 19.6. 27 April 1400. 10 eggs! Measured 2 now: ③ 25.6 x 20.2 ④ 25.9 x 20.0. Eggs 1 & 2 still there. 2 May 1030. Still 10 eggs. 9 May 1030. 8 babies ~1-2 do + 2 unhatched eggs Band ~ 30 May. 30 May 1600. Banded The 8 kids here! 27 June 1500. 2nd nest in (different) hole: 6 eggs, fairly fresh Could still be laying, I suppose 13 July 1730. 4 babies, ~7 do. Band ~ 27 July. 27 July 1200. Banded the 3 kids that made it! 2002 16 April 1100. Lots of stores. Bird in the traditional hole: eight incubated eggs. An experimental group, perhaps. → 81962 roosted in 1987 ↓ → 1980. Roosting: 8M/wn-? #1962 roosted for sure. → 8M/wn-Dker 17 April 1900. Definitely 81962 again in the nest. 18 April 1100. Took The 8 eggs. #3307 on the nest. This is cup. #2 for the year.
