Checked nest (assuming we would band kids) only to find 4 incubated eggs, which R Measured: ① 24.0 × 20.2 ② 23.3 × 21.1 ③ 25.3 × 21.4 ④ 25.8 × 21.1. Presumed timeline: hatch ~ 27 May, band ~ 16 June. 5 June 1305. Watching. No noise from nest - was it failed? 1405. Zilch. 12 June 800. Checked hole: empty. 2nd failure for these guys! 2003 7 April Bird in traditional hole. 17 April 1200. Finally opened the hole: empty. Early nest failed? Who knows? Could have been anything, or nothing. 7 May 1145. Bird in hole: 5 eggs, incubated. ① 22.5 × 18.3 (not developed) ② 24.6 × 19.4 (not developed) ③ 24.6 × 20.0 ④ 24.9 × 20.4 ⑤ 24.8 × 20.4. Hatch ~ 10 May; band ~ 31 May. 29 May 1100. Banded and bled the 3 kids here. 2004 4 May 1330. Bird in hole: empty. 11 May 1500. Bird in traditional hole again: 4 fresh eggs ① 24.3 × 20.5 ② 24.3 × 20.2 ③ 24.9 × 20.5 ④ 25.6 × 20.1 11 June 1500. Banded + bled the 2 kids here. 25 Sept 1400. Bird in hole; checked it: empty.
