(27 May) from the granary together when I walked up,
suggestive of something going on here soon.
1030. Checked the traditional hole in the granary:
in fine shape, but empty.
30 May 1345. Having not brought up the rope for
once, there is finally a bird in the 2001 (new)
hole. Plenty of stores remaining.
31 May 900. Birds in both the traditional hole in the
granary and the 2001 hole, but both are
still empty!
9 June 1515. Bird in the (new) 2001 hole. Maybe they
finally have a nest here.
10 June 900. Opened up the hole: still empty!!
18 June 1430. Finally! 5 fresh-laid eggs, in the
traditional hole in the granary! EHD ~28 June
21 June 1345. Measured the 5 eggs, only 2 of which
(maybe 3) look like they're developing.

26 June 1630. Checked nest: 2 babies, 4-5 do, +
3 unhatched & undeveloped eggs. Band ~12 July.
Must have hatched very soon after I checked
them on 21 June.
