All dark, light colored bill (fairly short)
with a very short tail. Wings shaped like a batross. Behavior
distinctive. Flight Very much like
a leach's petrel when evading
a ships bow or gunshot, ie frequent
twisting and turning, rapid
flight. Did not follow the
ship.
Size smaller than Black-foot albatross, larger
than pink-foot shear. Tail very short
