Not a flock. 2 together on water, 1 flying nearby, 2 flying farther off. Perched on mast - probably 1 of early morning flock. Fog thinning, but horizon still fuzzy - Fog cleared by 1400. 1325- 1340 Sterna 1 SIT 1352 Storm Pet 1 SLY 1408 Red Phalarope 1 SE 1414 Red Phalarope 1 SE 1416 Jaeger, sp 2 SE 1420 Gull sp 1 CEE 1435 Red Phalarope 3.5 ± 1 LEE 1447 Jaeger, sp 1 NE 1520 Red Phalarope 21 1515 BFA 3 Calling Heard only - but close. Light ph. - travelling 30' apart Circled ship low - immature - more light areas than normal for many Western - possibly 2nd year bird, back upper tail coverts white with pattern of spots - black terminal tip to tail. Looked carefully. On and off water, only 1 had remnants of rusty on lower deck. Distant - Phase?
