1978 Pamela L. Williams elev. 7900 feet Santa Barbara, 27 m. w. Durango, Durango, Mexico 19 January Saw 2♂♂ sitting together and a♀ flew near-by. Started watching granary at 12:20 - on ♂ on top looking in acorn hole flew away. Left at 1300 to walk in the direction I have occasionally heard them call from. Backwatching granary at 13:20. (Finally hear a bird carrick) 13:45 can see 2 birds ~ 100 yards from granary across gully- will try to move quietly closer. One apparent fly-catching attempt. Heard what sounded like one eating an acorn. Gave up at 14:15.
