14 February The rotten limb with the 1977 nest hole has fallen.
There are still some acorns in the tree here, but I didn't see
any birds in passing.
18 February 1200. Watching
1250. Got one: ☐ Or-Bm/Or-Bm #104 defending the area and doing some
hawking.
1300. Things are still too slow here for my tastes. Leaving.
I count 89 acorns here.
13 March There are still a few stored acorns here, but I didn't see
any sign of the birds themselves.
18 April 1605. No sign of anybody here. A quick search of the granary
scared up only 3 stored acorns remaining. This group
needs watching soon.
21 April 1250. Flushed 1 bird from the granary. Watching.
1340. 3 birds in the perch tree: ☐ Or/light#403, ☐ Or/Blt#404, and a 2nd ☐.
1350. Leaving. Too cold for now! Birds were eating an acorn-they
do still have a few stashed away somewhere.
27 April 1020. Watching here and at Keep Out from hide.
1135. A ☐ in the perch tree here briefly.

1500. ☐403 is right here working on an old (now bottomless!)
hole in a Valley Oak in between KO and BT.
