1545. Flushed 2 birds in passing by the upper route on my way to School Hill West. No sign of anybody at S.Hill "B".
1615. On my way back I flushed a ? who I'm pretty sure was ?419 even though I just barely saw her bands as well a ? from the main area. Nobody in any holes, however.

6 May
845. Watching. ? in tree 1.
920. Intruder: ? or-BLK/Or-Wn #435 here in tree 2 hiding; but (1) ? wr-e/w-r #419 and (2) ? Ma/Man #86 slowing made their way towards here and then chased her off.
955. Intruder here briefly again, also ?80, ?419, and (3) ?yl/Bp #402.
1030. Intruder again, chased by 3 birds.
1040. Intruder again chased silently by 3 birds.
1110. First sign of some interest in holes: a ? at the lip of the [illegible] unopened hole lower in the field.
1115. Leaving. ?191 gone as expected. Saw good indication of there being only 3 birds here, suggesting that ?256 may very well be gone. Also it's pretty clear that there's no nest here yet.
