19 June 1530. Counted stores: 270.
14 July j448 seen down at 1500.
27 July 820. Watching.
835. Angh. Birds not here. Will try again shortly.
1100. Stores here are on the low side but there are definitely
some left; I counted 91.
Several of the birds (at least) are over in the forest edge toward
Bloome, no doubt sapsucking.
4 August 820. Searching around here. One bird: @j la-BIR/ BIR- La prob.#451;
in the savanna below the granary. Yes -> @j BIR/la #451.
840. Oh well - other birds down sapsucking, but I couldn't
identify them. I got one more, at least.
31 August 1430. No birds seen here in passing and 2 stores.
1515. On the way back, @j wne/ #448 and @Furn DK/Red #247
seen down atop the perch tree.
1523. @ F yel/BIR #176 over in the sap area along with everyone
else.
1540. 9176 down near Soto Springs in the forest behind the
is cabin along with at least one Lower Hay bird (8391).
11 September See Bloome notes about the fate of 8301, who
looks as though he moved (back in Dec. 1976!) to
Bloome along with 8246 and 8300.
13 14 September Ron Munue watched here for an hour late this afternoon
and saw all 4 adults - storing furiously [Ron reports
about 300 stores already!]. He saw no babies, but did find
the leg and remains of j451 (leg complete with Black/Green
color bands) out on the ground in the open away from
