Moved here about 31 Dec. 1977 (Age unknown) At least 2 birds roosted in the '77 nest hole tonight inc ♂322, but I failed at getting a good count. 14 March ♀414 seen up on the knoll in passing. 15 March ♀415 seen in front of the barn. 1840. ♂322 and 364 are the only 2 birds roosting in the '77 nest hole this evening. Where's everyone else going? 25 March 1540. ♂322, ♀414, and ♀ub down in the granary at Pump. 31 March 1440. ♂322, ♀414, ♀415, and ♀ub all seen on the knoll fooling around in the '75 nest tree. 7 April Nobody roosted in the '77 nest hole or anywhere else that I could see this evening! 8 April) Opened up the nest hole - it has about ½" of water in its bottom! Guess they won't be nesting there this year. 9 April 745. Saw ♂415 (white) while checking out the new hole in the '75 nest tree. 12 April 900. ♀415 seen in passing the Lower Barn. 16 April 1900. I was here at dusk this evening, but neither saw nor heard anybody roosting anywhere! 19 April 1220. ♂415 flushed from the '75 nest tree. Watching. 1230. ♀415 now hamstrung alone atop beeches in front of barn. Others are nowhere to be seen. 1237. ♀415, poking around in the beech, just pulled out a whole acorn- this group does still have stores. 1240. ♂ub carries and greets ♂415. 1255. ♂415 back in front of the barn alone. Others definitely making.
