Ventral surface appeared uniformly white or whited underwings although underwing margins had a slight brown/grey tinge. Flight with deep popped wing beats interspersed with short glides- very little circling, mostly remained horizontal aud to water. Wing beat did not open a strong undulation - 500y per min, but was not the slow heavy beats of Logan Shoemaker - bird about size of Mocker Swallows. A very clumsy appearance (Fat) 1315 course change 2-055 1323 Herring?Gulls 3 2 adult, I think you - could have been Cattle Gull. 1337 Chryscinus 5 075 1330 commute 085 1400 same as 005 1407 Gull sp 3 Ann. 3 in area of aircraft carrier. 1407 Gl.F.H. Albatross 1 1410 Gull sp 1 Glaccour-wing Gull 1 {5E subadult, at good view off 1412 Gull sp 2 E Ann. 1413 " " 1 E 1st yr. 1415 " " 1 E 2nd yr. white tail with wide blackband 1419 Gull sp 5 Herring Gull 3 Gl.F.H.Albatross 3 followship - bannaker - " " ad. " " 1 white rump, 2 dark rumps. Watched from 1800 - 1830 no birds, moon thereover- ship running without lights except red over- 1540 reducing from carrier 1615- Depot Carrier 1654 Sun set observed.
