Close observation 1700
around 2200 last night
various officers crew saw
up to 30+ birds around the
ship either fluttering like bals
or sitting on the water. Described
as mostly white with grey
birds, small birds -
most likely Phalaropes!
From descriptions the birds were
apparently sitting on the water
and would fly up + flutter around
as the searchlight struck them.
