Definitely sub adult - back slant with blackish areas,
but yellow bill, [illegible]
black spots appeared scattered slightly
over wings & back. Stayed with ship
at least 5 minutes.
searching but moor south along sail
ship. 3 light phase, 2 dark phase stayed
with ship for at least 10 minutes
a difficult beach's Petrel was observed at 1245.
C.V. Love saw an all white bird with rather
thin & pointed wings flying like a shearwater.
until 1230
flew as ship approached but soon sat
down again
deck retrieve shot, but appeared slightly
Cobred. bill yellow or pale orange. No
indication of blood marks anywhere.
