Not really enough to allow me to take a sample, though I may try switching some with Lambert. Took a sample of 25, replacing them with acorns from Lambert's group. 25 January 1430. 2 birds flushed from the vicinity. 26 January 1020. ?Red-Yel/R-Y#109 sapsuckling in the Valley Oak just up along the fence line. 1032. Suddenly both ?109 and ? LG/LB #118 flew to the granary. 10 March Counted stores: 117. 21 March 1200. ?LG/LB #118 seen in the area. 7 April 945. ? in lower hole in the Live Oak. The time is almost here. Stores are gone, as far as I can tell. 18 April Nobody in holes. 19 April 1345. ? sitting at edge of new hole with food in bill. She is banded: ? Red-Yel/Red-Yel ??, not unambiguously #109. 1355. Just up a ways in the forest (toward Nearlambert ~70m) are 2 birds sapsuckling: ? Or-Yel/Or-Yel#109 and ? Or/Dg-Or#284 from Lambert, who may have been discouraged by the ?, as he flew up and over toward Lambert away from the ? just as I noticed them. 24 April 1330. Bird in hole; also a 2nd bird in the vicinity. 26 April 915. Bird in hole. 1215. Nobody in hole. Lower hole in Live Oak opened, however, yielding 3 fresh eggs. 28 April 1645. Bird in hole, which was opened and still had 3 eggs.
