See 1800 notes. 9 January Walked up; nobody seen at "S.Hill B"; but several birds were over in the main School Hill area. 27 January 1530. Counted stores: tree 2 1520 tree 1: 465 Also took a sample of 50 acorns from the granary (I already have some from a fallen limb at the lab.) 3 February ♂86 caught at 1500. 22 February 1200. A Cooper Hawk came winging by causing momentary consternation; ♀193 saw it and loudly karin-culled several seconds before its arrival. 1317. ♂♂ WN-DB/144#256. ♀♀ LB/LP#296. 1430. Leaving. Birds still loosely in the vicinity, but only occasionally out where I can get a decent look at them.
