Watching. 1235.♀/w/m/#260 flew into main tree and began eating an acorn. 1238.♂LB/w/m#43 working stores low in main tree. 1300. No other action here. (#43 still here hawking). Looks like the School Hill ♂♀ have given up. → Purge: #166. Last seen 12 December. Gone by 4 January ..Disappeared about 24 December 1976 ± 1 week 17 February 1630. Here she is: ♂♀/m/#260. It has nearly come to the point where I almost have to conclude that she's moved here, but then, what about #500? The School Hill ♂♀, in any case, have apparently given up the attempt to move here, at least for the time being. 7 March 1200. 26 birds (presumably #43/#260) are busy sapsucking in a Live Oak up on the side of Haystack past the main storage tree. Counted stores: Main tree: 304 Nest tree: 126 Total: 430
