No sign of the 8. 19 July 730. Watching. Babies' head well out of hole. 751.8261 / 807.8261 / 811.8261 / 813.8364. / 814.8322 / 21 July 835. Leaving. The kids are pretty close to fledging for sure. 1300. Walked by the nest, which is empty. Only bird I ran across in the vicinity was j414, who was alone just above the nest area and then flushed down to the nest tree. 22 July 845. 8322 seen up on the knoll. 1100 8364 seen feeding one of the babies up on the far knoll; is j415. 23 July 800. Watching. j414 by barn; 8364 seen. jLBW#416 by barn. j416 > j414 in an interaction while vying for being fed by 8364. 805. Some Garrickes by some bird near the barn now. Also by a bird near the VO storage tree. 808. There's at least 1 intruding, banded 8 here by the barn. Was just displaced by 8364 and 8322. 810. Meanwhile there are several intruders around and no sign of dear old 816. 815. There are strange birds inconspicuously all over here-mostly banded 88! Some drumming and garrickling. 822. Here's a 8 drumming + garrickling in the sycamore roost tree. 825. There's no question about it-a revolution is brewing here. 830. All 3 88 (inc. 8261) together behind barn. 831. 2 intruders being taken care of in various quarters. 840. The 8 still Garrickling in the roost tree.
