Still pretty quiet. 2 birds in the Black Oak by the granary; I flew towards CA-2, the other to the forest area toward Black Oak. 945. Heard some jaw begging and proceeded to leave the hide and try to track down the birds, who are at outlying edges of the territory eating green acorns and possibly sap-sucking. So far I've met with meager success, however. 1030. I'm finding a bird here and there, but it doesn't seem to be worth continuing. However,... 1045. In the upper section toward A1 are several birds, including ⑤8140 himself. 19 August 1500. Watching. 1550. 3 birds finally made a brief appearance here: ⑩⑧R/W#142, ②♀(BLW#215, and ⑦♂LAW#217. The first went to the top of the black oak perch tree to preen for awhile. 1600. Several birds flew over toward lower part of Black Oak territory. 1605. ⑦♀215 plus a ♂ in tree in lower part of Black Oak. Field Bianca This is the same tree where several Black Oak birds had been sitting at 1500 when I passed through here. Meanwhile some calling in the upper area probably are the Black Oak birds. 1615.
