(molting to ♀).

What is going on with UA2 these days?
1128. ♀LGRW#207. Also ♂M/OK #289 (still♂). ♂205 still
here in the storage tree with them. ♂LB/R-W-R#204 came to
get rid of a ground squirrel.
1145. A squint produced ♂yellow, surely #128. Once again,
Who's living at UA2, or are these 2 birds using both? ♂205 is still
in the storage tree with at least 2 [other] A3 birds,
1200. ♂DB/WH#123 hawking and preening below the granary.
1215. Caught ♂205, who was processed and released (note
band change).
1245. Caught ♀128, who was hawking nearby!
1325. Going to check UA2 and then take the net down.
Acom count: Mark 707
Mark 825
Mark 863 } 2395; I'd guess that approximately
only 5% of these were new, green acorns from this year; the numerous
"marked" acorns remaining will attest to the continued persistence of
1975-stored acorns for a long time to come.
11 October 1300. ♀DB-WH(wh)/DB#290 over by "UA2." Others here and at A3.
