1976 Walter D. Koenig
Melanerpes formicivorus
Arnold 3
(27 January)
915.③♀LRW#207 drilling in tree between storage areas.
922.⑧#126 maybe over by Lambert line, but could have been #123
925.④♂ub 360 between storage trees; also ⑤♀Rat/DaOr#255.
942.⑥♂ub [will have to make her 361, replacing #254 who apparently does not belong here].
955.④♀wn/wrn 205. (but I did not see a wing streaker).
1035. Intruder! By storage tree:
♂Orange/LBlue
Orange/LBlue = #210 Bianca Juv.♂
One A3 bird barrat-squawking and garrickling like crazy over him, 2+ others here; one bird threatened him as he hid.
Also
♀WWRW Black-wr/(Narrow) intruding here also, flew off with another bird toward A2 area.
! She, apparently, is #229, ♀Blue-Wh-Pink/Blue-Wh-Pink, who was one of the birds I caught last May during the replacement proceedings at Arnold 1!
1100. Several birds came to tree between storage areas, possibly to chase someone out again. Included were ③♂PRR,
⑤♂255, and ⑧♂DB/yell(n) #421, who was with the others loud and clear. Obviously he has not necessarily moved to UA2 yet.
1104. j♂LBRW#204 ran into the net. He was weighed, etc., and released at 1140.
1207. Several birds finally returned, inc. ♀255 and ♀205 (RRR)
1809. Koenig has been around since 1208. Entering net, going in and leaving.
