}
These birds have been busy indeed!
11 October
10 8 or /DB #202 in middle tree.
930. Watching.
942. There is a bird working stores (rather nervously) in Lambert
Fallen tree who I hesitate to call "Bud" the Ad 8 ub because
she is clearly a juv. nearly but not quite finished molting to
8, as she still has several distinct red-tipped feathers in her
otherwise black crown band. She also has a dark eye. Her
nervousness perhaps reflects intruder status?
950. Now working stores: 2 8 or /CP #114 and 8 202.
1002. Several birds showed up on Hastings Valley Oak: 3 8 y-49/DB-B1k
#116, 4 8 ub (not the above bird!), and 5 8 BP-EP(n) /B1k #283.
1025. 6 8 or /Da-or #284 in nest tree; unsuccessfully tried to displace
a kestrel sitting there.
1110. Birds continue to work stores, coming into view regularly.
1130. Leaving.
