Chonge
Hastings Reservation
(4 November)
1641. 8'LB/Wh-Red #234 sitting in sycamore area. Pub also there.
1650. leaving. Birds here are definitely on their "winter" schedule;
is they're mostly across the guleh. I bet they're roosting over
here, however, and I probably ought to try and catch them sometime
this winter.

1430. Net up; captive in cage as bait.
1441.00 18/wh. #234 has discovered him and is karrit-cutting
cautiously from the sycamore area.
1445. Interest seems to have waned rather rapidly.
1545. There are birds here (mostly down by the guleh somewhere);
nobody is apparently interested in what's going on in the granary;
however.
1600. Pub and o M/Da #319 finally here in response to a long
series of calls by the captive - Their interest was rather
short-lived too, unfortunately.
1610. Pub returned; sat on far side of granary for a couple of
minutes before flying down and away.
1614. There are 2 banded 8" (i.e. 3? I think) on Buckeye just
over
up from the fence line.
1615. Leaving.
