KeepOut Hastings Reservation
13 January 1000. ♂109 and ♀118 were both flushed from the storage tree as I drove up.
Purges:

#220. Last seen 21 July '75. Gone by 19 Aug → 5 August ±2 wks
#219. Last seen 19 Aug '75. Gone by 31 Oct → 25 Sept. ±1 month
14 January 1230. Saw ♂or-?/♂-? #109 and ♀ PRW#250 in Middle tree up toward Lambert.
20 January Checked marked acorns, finding only 21/50, of which 6 had been moved. This seems abnormally low, so I counted stores as well, enumerating 556.
4 February ♂Lg/LB#118 in the "middle tree" by Lambert group; he flushed down toward KeepOut storage tree.
✓ 17 February 478 acorns counted here. Two birds were seen in the vicinity but not identified.
23 February 910. Several birds were on the territory here, including one in the storage tree.
✓ 21 March 1400. Saw one bird here. The count: 343.
29 March Returned to the cut portion of the '75 nest hole; it had fallen out apparently a month ago or so.
19 April 1400. Bird in '75 nest hole looking out. Nest already, no doubt. 1820. A bird is roosting in the very low hole in the tree in the gulch going west on Lambert's; surely must be from this group.
20 April Correction - bird seen in above hole was a Starling.
22 April 1300. Bird in '75 nest tree again (♂), but in the new hole below the '75 nest hole. To be opened as soon as possible.
