A ♂ and ♀ j298 now in storage area. 1007. ♂ R-w-R/m #194 in tree 1, where he checked over some sap holes in the top of the tree and then preened. 1021. ♀ M/Red #191 eating acorn in tree 1. 1025. ♀ 86 eating acorn in tree 2 and feeding a begging ♂191! A couple minutes later she flew up to a limb and began searching for an acorn herself, pursued by a current juvenile who she summarily pecked. 1040. Now ♀ j - m/Da/yellow #297 searching for acorns in tree 1. 1045. ♂ 195 here. 1100. All quiet at the moment. 1106. ♂♀ub with j298 on her trail. ♂ DB-LP/DB #193 here also 1120. j? [illegible] - (296 or 299) here also. ♂ DB/yel #256 now in tree 1. 1125. Birds spooked by a Cooper Hawk. 1145. Several birds finally back 1155. ♂ Red/DB-w #88 here; several others still in storage area. 1215. ♀ j - m/LP #296 now above enclosure area. 1220. Birds seem to be moving uphill; it's all pretty quiet down below. 1300. Leaving. Everybody expected was seen except for j299.
