During this, occasional activity was noted above me on the hillside (not so much over toward yesterday's foci), where I saw 3RRW and several others. (also j9BPRW) 1125. Back in The hide to see if I can get some pictures. 1230. I did get a few pictures, but nothing too exciting. jwh and jDrLW did come by, as did jBP. 8 March 1430. Saw 8183 over in storage tree eating an acorn. lots of calling from over here at various times during the afternoon. 29 March 1545. Several birds over in the nest tree here remind me that spring is well nigh upon us. The Count: Main Valley Oak: 1396 Nest Sycamore: 413 TOTAL: 1969 Miscellaneous: 160 8 April 1845. Saw at least 7 birds roost (5 in the 2nd nest hole, 2 in one of the holes on the opposite side), including 8DRW#182. I better start keeping a lookout here pretty soon. 16 April 1630. Watching roost/nest tree from hide. 1650. 5 birds are together working stores in one of the miscellaneous branches by the creek, including ① 8ub346, ② 8BPRW#81, ③ 8PRW#183, and ④ 8DBRW#222. + other 1707. ⑤ 8WRW#180 there now. ⑥ 8ca-or, #69 now working stores/ eating acorn in same area. A few cells have come from main storage tree, but none has flown to the sycamore roost tree as yet.
