1110. Junior has "karrit"ed (or "unrked") 2 times, just before
all 4 birds returned. 2 of the birds were looking at him,
but they did not immediately go down to investigate. At
1115 they flushed away when Florence came with the 'potting scope.
1120. Both w6 &8 back, one looking intently at the cage.
1125. Cagefell over
1130. Birds back: $16 among them
1136. 8261 here. A good "karrit" from junior didn't bring
much response.
1142. A loud karrit-cut by junior brought everyone's immediate
attention, resulting in several of the birds dropping down toward
the cage; but the interest was not sustained enough for them
to go to the cage itself.
1150. Now the birds are pretty much going about their business
regardless of whether or not junior calls.
1205. After a prolonged bout of karrits one of the birds flew
down to him, but managed to avoid the net. It is working,
however - at least after a fashion.
1235. There is no doubt but that the birds know he's there, and aren't
quite sure how to handle him, but being in a cage the way he
is (and also, perhaps, making 60by karrits) I don't think he
poses much of a threat to them; at least not enough for
them to go down and attack.
