Fishes sometimes dark brown; when fully expanded a very
pale brown; margin truncate, grey; gills distant whitish,
[illegible] is as to form an angle, after minutes [illegible]
the sides, the base radiato-striata.
[illegible] 1/2 - to inch broad, dry, at length [illegible] F. Stewart,

wrinkled concentrically when dry. Gills rather distinct; a little
less than thick high; not 1 line in thickness; subflopita,
gill sides; minutely pubescent, the base radiato-striata.

I gathered it there was a severe frost from which I did
