Agaricus mountain pasture, Mirebleak, 19 Sept. 1839 Pileus umbrella shaped, waved at the margin, the surface smooth, smooth, pale cinnamon-colour. Gills subde- curved, but dense at an angle, then range entire, sinuate, pale, columnar; Stem thick, fibrillose, near white, scieny, minute, Gymnascus. In a tuft together. Pileus 2 inches or 3 in diameter, incrusted at the margin, subumbilicate, pale dully orange when young. Gills neat, dense; Lii a lot of a paler colour than the pileus; rupture at their junction with the pileus. Stem 1/4 inch wide, about 1½ inches high, its whit and silky pile expanding upwards thickly into the pileus. Odour as of meal.
