Transcription
Sphæria multiflora, Dr. Hook, offered, at Perth scotland, at length
in confluent patches, of a transparent - brown, the surface smooth,
with articles in which are 3-4 black shining, oval minute Sphæria
multiflora partially filled (or a cocoa nut-thus) three numerous, filiform,
slightly curved, sparsa, chief side and dorsal, in a platynerous matrix
in which - fibrinous structure prevails, fibres parallel with the latter,
sharply, opaque, red, rather acute & sporae, except a flattened
line of Sphæria at the centre.
In the Tropics - also on palings. Dundee. March 1858.
The young plants often burst out from under the cotyledons.
