subaggregate. Pileus conical, at length umbrella-shaped,
light red - brown, at length pale and brownish, glutinous.
Gills adnate, ventricose, yellowish a marigold colour. Lamellae
Hymenium pale yellowish near base. Stipe nearly stuffed yellowish
- near base, at length scarlet.
Pileus sometimes over 2 inches in diameter, at first hemispherical
and bright red coloured, at length brownish reddish-brown, lower
- deck rising, when full pear conical and subumbonate.
Gills becoming brown and aridulata at the edges, and much
waved at the margin.
Stipe being 2 inches high, at length longitudinally sulcated, and
with filamentous scales.
Odour Scarcely any.
