2002 HAYDOCK 2003 2004 MACROBERTS HNHR 17 July. 8:40 - No birds seen in a cavity. No acorns remaining in granary. 4 Aug. 9:10 - No birds seen in a cavity. 2003 12 June 12:00. Bleed 4 healthy nestlings (about 1 week old) Put hatching band on each bird (#3900,3903) 24 June 13:30 - Banded and bleed 4 nestling. All still healthy. Some acorns remaining. Experienced nest (2nd nest) 2004 2 June 14:41 - 2 nestlings - hatched today - and two eggs. Eggs may both be fertile, but one has a small dent that does not seem to a nestling that is piping to get out. 11 June 19:45 - Watched to see which male breeder incubated/brooded nestlings. - Likely 2999 but not sure since bird was in hole when I arrived, 2999 did enter cavity, another bird left. 14 June 19:45 - Male brooding watch - 2999 definitely was the only bird to roost in cavity. ♀ 3901 also approached cavity, entered quickly and left,
